RECREATIONAL LEADER

 
DEPARTMENT:  Recreation
 

LOCATION:  Rec Center

 
SALARY/WAGE:  $10 per hour
 
STATUS:  Non-Exempt
 
HOURS:  Varies/Part Time.  21.5+ hours per week, mostly during after-school. Some nights and weekends required.
 
 
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:
 
Able to work with children.
- Knowledge in common sports, games and recreational activities for all ages.
- Able to direct and lead programs. 
- Effective communication skills.
 
EDUCATION LEVEL:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
 
 
GENERAL SUMMARY:  Seeking a hard-working, hard-playing, enthusiastic, patient individual with strong values and leadership skills. Must be knowledgeable in crafts, games and sports; needs to work effectively with children and adults while creating a positive and fun atmosphere with an emphasis on customer service.

COMPLIANCE OFFICER

 
DEPARTMENT:  Compliance
 

LOCATION:  Barona Casino

 
SALARY/WAGE:  $18 - 20 per hour
 
STATUS:  Non-Exempt
 
HOURS:  Varies; however at this time, vacancy is for Graveyard 10pm to 6am.
 
 
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS:
 
- Familiarity with Tribal gaming preferred
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce concise reports
- Knowledge of security and surveillance practices
- Ability to take direction, follow instructions and work independently
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in a smoking environment
- Knowledge of documentation and record keeping principles and practices
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license
 
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Two years experience in government regulatory activities, gaming or a closely related field; or combination of education and experience.
 
 
GENERAL SUMMARY:  This position is under the general direction of the Barona Gaming Commission and reports directly to the Compliance Supervisor.  The position is responsible for the oversight of gaming activities in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations for the purpose of protecting the assets and interests of the Barona Band of Mission Indians and to insure the continued integrity of Tribal Gaming.
